When we opened our doors in 2016, we welcomed you into our world. A curious place, where anything was possible for those who dreamed hard enough. This spirit was brought to life in our panoramic artwork – through strong characters and evocative scenery, each can represented part of a story that was still being written.

Today we’re excited to share with you our new look.

Not a rebrand, but an evolution.

To understand why, it's worth looking back to where we started.

Back then, the beer scene was a door wide open. Much like our artwork, independent breweries were redefining the beer landscape – pushing boundaries, reviving forgotten styles and championing quality and locality. We threw ourselves into this adventure with a bold approach, focusing on German lager and Belgian beer styles – beers that shaped the experiences of our co-founders Annie Clements and Alex Troncoso, as they moved around the world, looking for their grounding.

It was an exciting time, full of energy and possibility.

The journey changes the traveller – and a new perspective is gained. The world around us shifts, and we learn more about who we are.

Beer for people with a thirst for life

We have always been proud to make beers that are understated and no nonsense. As the industry has become increasingly noisy, we felt it was time to focus on our protagonist, our little flying Hippo, as he’s been one constant through our entire journey this far and remains a humble dreamer who believes he can carry the world. We’re still the same brewery making the same beer - we just wanted to strip things back and be more clearly us.Alex Troncoso, co-founder

So, the time has come to make a change.  Sometimes the simplest things are the best, and as our story continues, we want to take ourselves back to what matters to us – clean beer, brewed with love.

After months of collaboration between Annie and long-serving designer Sammy Davis, we’ve created a new, bolder identity.

At the heart of it is our hippo — a familiar character that has been with us from the beginning. Now placed front and centre across the range, the new design is cleaner, more confident and as consistent as the beer inside.

We’ve also taken the opportunity to refocus our core range. From now on, our permanent lineup will centre on five beers that best represent who we are as a brewery: Keller Pils, Helles, Running with Sceptres, Wanna Go to the Sun and Extra Nice. Other beers will continue to appear throughout the year as seasonal and rotational releases.

Our approach to brewing hasn’t changed. We’re still committed to producing unique and carefully crafted beer. What has changed is the way we present it. The beers are the same. The values are the same. But the lens has sharpened.

This is the natural progression in our story, a celebration of where we started, and where we’re heading next – the road rolls on, and we can’t wait for you to join us on the ride.
