Gold Award Win for Wanna Go To The Sun!

We are ecstatic to share the news that we have won Gold at the European Beer Star 2025 Awards with our beautiful pale ale, Wanna Go To The Sun!

The European Beer Star is famed to be one of the largest and most prestigious beer competitions in the world, whilst also being the biggest in Germany. This year the competition featured approximately 2200 entries across 74 different categories which were tasted and marked by a panel of 150 international judging experts including master brewers, trade journalists, beer sommeliers and other beer experts.

"Our beer competition has an excellent reputation worldwide and is highly regarded in the brewing industry. The European Beer Star is considered the toughest beer competition in the world among the participating breweries. Every year, our tasters confirm the high standard of the beers submitted. Often only nuances decide who goes home with a medal," explains Kilian Kittl, Managing Director of the organiser Private Brauereien Bayern.

The two-day blind tasting took place in Nuremburg at the beginning of August and prizes for gold, silver and bronze were awarded to the three best beers of each category, with Wanna Go To The Sun coming out on top in the International-Style Ale Category.

Members of the Lost and Grounded crew lifted our trophy at the European Beer Star Award Ceremony on 17th September as part of the Drinktec Trade Fair in Munich, in front of a room of our peers and beer experts from around the world, before celebrating our win with a delicious beer or two.
